Gas prices in Phoenix have risen by 32 cents in the past month, with the average now standing at $3.89 per gallon.

Despite this increase, prices are still lower than they were two years ago when the average reached $4.96.

Gas prices in Arizona overall are at $3.60 per gallon, with Tucson coming in at $3.23 per gallon.

Patrick De Haan of GasBuddy predicts that prices may start to decrease as the nation transitions to cheaper winter gasoline and driving demand decreases with the colder temperatures.

The national average may fall below $3 per gallon for the first time in years this autumn.
